We are completely in love with him and can't believe how lucky we are to have him in our family. Ryan was able to take 2 weeks off work and we have enjoyed the time being able to spend together as a family.

Ethan is here!
Ethan Ryan Fisher was born at 12:35am on Wednesday January 21, 2009 weighing 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. We went to the hospital Monday morning so that Jessica could be induced, but he was a stubborn little guy and was not ready yet. Fortunately Jessica did not feel any of the contractions she was having until Tuesday afternoon. After 1 hour and 45 minutes of pushing he finally arrived just after midnight and too late for Ryan's prediction of him being born on January 20 to be true. We were finally released from the hospital on Friday (We can't believe we spent a whole week there!) However his bilirubin levels continued to rise so Saturday we brought him to another hospital to have photo therapy. Sunday night we went home again, hopefully this time for good.

Congratulations! So fun to see the pictures--and what a head of hair! I'm glad all is well now and you can be home. We hope he stays healthy. Enjoy this fun time!
