Our Little Man

Last week the weather was perfect unlike today when it was hot and humid. Luckily while the weather was beautiful, Ethan and I spent some time relaxing outside in the shade. I also gave him his second haircut, the hair on top was just too long. Here are some pictures of our little man with his new haircut.

Blueberry Picking

This morning my parents, Rebecca and I went blueberry picking - in the back yard. We picked roughly 12 pints of them! My mom made a delicious blueberry pie (at least everyone said it was delicious, I didn't try it) and tomorrow we are planning on making blueberry muffins but with that many blueberries, we need ideas, got any?

Sleeping Bird

The last two nights we have seen this little bird sleeping on the front porch in the hanging plant. He is always around the porch and is very noisy during the day. The other night Ryan must have scared him as he dove at Ryan's head as he unloaded the car after our trip to Maryland.

I have some catching up to do!

We closed on our house over 2 weeks ago and have been busy getting it ready to move in. We've painted several rooms before taking off to Maryland to visit family and go to a wedding. We also had the hardwood floors refinished (the house is 50 years old! the floors needed work) Now Ryan is with his dad replacing the back door, repointing the chimney, fixing the gutters and doing other minor repairs. We still have take down wallpaper, buy a range, paint more rooms and clean the carpets before we actually move in. It feels like it will never happen! Though while we were in Maryland we helped Nathan and Ashley move and I am definitely not looking forward to moving our own stuff. Once we move in I will post pictures of our new house!

We had a blast in Maryland hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma Fisher. Ethan showed off his new tricks: sitting up, clapping and trying to crawl. He is such a happy little guy and we love him, even when he wakes us up in the middle of the night (which is sadly almost every night these days)

I miss being so close to a temple. We were lucky we could go to the wedding, our recommends expired on that day! We haven't had a chance to go to a temple in awhile so we didn't even realize it was close to expiring. Now that Ethan is finally eating his fruits and veggies, we can go up to the Boston Temple.

Turkeys

Two weeks ago my brother Matthew (he's the guy in the chef outfit last week, he is going to Culinary school for the advanced baking program) "stole" my camera to take 53 pictures of turkeys in my parents backyard. Turkeys are everywhere this summer, we've seen them here all the time and at our new house too. It's too bad you can't hunt them here, we'd be all set for Thanksgiving! Here are the best of the bunch.
