Bowling

On Saturday we went to the bowling alley where Ryan bowled with his co-workers. His school district rented out the place and provided pizza for everyone! Ryan hasn't been bowling in years but he still had fun and we enjoyed showing Ethan off to all of his co-workers. The place was packed yet Ethan still took a nap with the music blasting and people cheering. My mom also works in the district and she wanted to show off Ethan to her co-workers and friends there so Ethan was all over the place. He was great though and didn't get fussy until the end when he got hungry. Luckily my sister lives right down the street so I could take him there to feed him. We had hoped to do something outside since it was such a beautiful day but with Ethan here, we realized that one activity a day with Ethan is all we can handle right now.

Ethan is Two months old

Ethan is getting so big! On Friday I took him to his two month appointment where he got 2 shots :-( He weighed in at 13 lbs 12 oz and 25.25 inches. Of course he screamed when getting the shots, but was fine by the time we got home. In fact, he slept the entire day. On Saturday I was able to leave and go to a girls night out (and watch Twilight!) while Ryan stayed home with Ethan. Here are some pictures of what we do during the day.

Ethan and I have started taking walks during the day. It still a little chilly outside, so he gets bundled up.
He is getting good at holding his head up and is now working on sitting up.

He usually doesn't like tummy time, but this time, he fell asleep!

Ethan's cousin Jack loves to visit Ethan and is always trying to give him his paci and burp cloth.

He loves to listen to us read to him.

Ethan loves when Daddy comes home and plays with him.

By the end of the day, he is tired.

We think he is adorable, so here are some cute pictures of him.

Our gansta!

Here is an album of our chunky little dude that Ryan took this past weekend.

Time Flies!

We can't believe Ethan is almost 7 weeks old. He is getting so big. At his 1 month appointment he was 11 lbs 11 oz (90 percentile) and 24 inches (95 percentile)! He has settled into a routine and for the most part does a 5-6 hour stretch at night followed by a 4 hour stretch after that. He still sleeps in a bassinet next to our bed, but Ryan has been petitioning to move him into his own room soon since he is such a noisy sleeper. I think all the little grunts, squeals and snorts are cute but I don't hear it at night like Ryan does. Last night, we got him ready for bed by swaddling him and put him in his bassinet where he just laid there contently for 1/
2 hour before falling asleep. We are lucky that he does so well at night, since during the day he hates been put down to sleep in his crib or bassinet and will scream if he is in there. So most morning he takes a nap on our bed propped up by pillows since he likes to be on his side and in the afternoon he takes a long nap in his swing. I guess he has been spoiled by all the visitors and prefers to fall asleep in someones arms. This is something we definitely have to work on. Here are some pictures of Ethan during the last few weeks.

He has already done some traveling, when he was 4 weeks old we took him to Vermont for Ryan's winter break. Rebecca came to visit and got to see him for the first time. Ryan got to go snowboarding while we stayed in the cozy lodge. My cousin and his family came to visit and we were surprised to see that Ethan and Leland(who is 8 months old) had the same outfit on!

His Grandparents from Maryland came up soon after he was born and a few weeks later his grandma came up again with his Uncle Nathan and Aunt Ashley.

Ethan loves bath time, he cries when we take him out (though that maybe because he gets cold out of the water!)

He has gone to visit his great-grandma, Granny with his cousin Jack.

We love his crazy hair!

I finally got around to making his baby announcement and sent them out last week.
