Lillian turned 3 recently. She has grown so much in the the last year. This is the first year I did a birthday interview with her. Between her not wanting to sit down and Ethan interrupting, it took a few takes.
She is such a great little girl. She is smart, she loves to show us what she's learned in school. She is a hard worker, she loves to help and sticks to the task pretty well. She can spend hours lining up her "dollies" and taking care of them. She is tough, she has to be around Ethan! She is learning to stand up for herself and has surprised Ethan a few times. She loves her sister, a little too much sometimes! She always want to hold Josie and sing songs to her. She can be stubborn, especially when I am trying to brush her hair each morning. She is a great eater, she is good at trying new foods and always wants a bite of whatever Daddy is eating.
She had a princess party with several of her friends. All the girls dressed up as princesses.
We started by first making princess hat, Lillie loved the shiny stickers
We then played pin the kiss on the frog prince. We had a little trouble getting the princesses to keep the blind fold on, they kept peeking! The frog got lots of princess kisses, but no prince appeared.
Next was the test to see if they were a real princess. I hid a pea (really a lime) under a pillow and one by one the girls laid on each pillow and guessed where the pea was. Just like in the Princess and the Pea, a true princess would feel a pea under the pillow. They all passed and as true princesses were rewarded with a pearl necklace.
After they learned to walk like a princess with books on their heads. Some of these princesses need a little more practice!
Josie being silly and peeking around a corner!
The girls had a blast dancing to princess music. These princesses liked to play ring around the rosie. Of course no party is complete without the birthday princess opening her presents. She got such great presents, she didn't want to let them go. As everyone was leaving, they each got a magic wand. Uncle Matthew outdid himself, these wands were amazing and delicious!
After everyone left, Lillie climbed into my lap with all of her presents, told me she liked her party and fell asleep in my arms. One happy girl makes for one happy mama.
